Walton Bridge Medical Centre is seeking a VR General Practitioner to join the team at its modern Waterworks Road location in The Gap, Brisbane’s western suburbs.

For over 60 years, Walton Bridge Medical Centre has provided personalised, comprehensive healthcare to individuals and families across The Gap and surrounding communities. The practice has recently brought its Waterworks Road and Glen Affric Street teams together at 976 Waterworks Road, creating a larger clinical team with increased appointment availability and a broader range of healthcare services.

With a well-established local presence and strong community connections, the practice offers an opportunity for an incoming GP to build long-term relationships with patients and families. New and existing patients are welcomed, with same-day appointments often available.

The practice provides a broad range of General Practice services, including family medicine, women’s health, men’s health, children’s health, chronic disease management, mental health, preventive healthcare, skin cancer checks, minor procedures, travel health and vaccinations. The nursing team provides clinical support including chronic disease monitoring, infant vaccinations, spirometry, ECGs, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and wound care.

Walton Bridge Medical Centre is a private billing practice and operates 7 days a week, with weekday hours extending to 7:30pm on Wednesdays and weekend appointments available from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Public holidays are closed.

The practice also has a strong commitment to medical education and professional development, supporting GP Registrars, medical and nursing students and the ongoing development of the practice team.
