Hobart Skin Cancer Clinic – Registered Nurse

An opportunity has become available for a Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our team at Hobart Skin Cancer Clinic. Our nurses are integral in delivering day to day clinical support to our doctors as well as consistent and the highest quality of healthcare to our patients. The successful applicant will join a family friendly team in a dynamic environment and be provided with opportunities for professional development.

We have a Casual position available. We are looking for someone who is committed to the primary health care sector, providing great holistic patient care.

The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated with a sound background in patient care and be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment and industry.

Your role will be to deliver quality clinical nursing services including:

• Wound care and Nurse led Wound Clinics
• Assisting with minor procedures
• Results notification and patient education
• Sterilisation
• Perform removal of stiches
• Set up Theatre Trolleys per doctors needs
• Clean Theatre Rooms after patients
• Complete Dressings post theatre
• Perform Skin Checks alongside the Doctor as a Team approach

The successful applicant will have:

• Compassion and dedication to our patients
• A positive attitude, be proactive and show initiative
• Special interest in Skin Cancer Medicine
• Willingness to undertake further education relating to Skin Cancer Medicine
• Previous surgical nursing desirable.
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Current AHPRA Registration and National Police Certificate
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Flexibility and reliability with rostered hours
