Sorell Doctors is a family-oriented practice committed to providing quality and friendly service to all patients and their families in the Sorell area. Our clinic believes that patients come first and is committed to promoting health, well-being, and disease prevention for everyone.

We are currently recruiting for Part Time Medical Receptionists to join our friendly, supportive and experienced team at Sorell Doctors. The successful candidates will need to be highly motivated with a sound background in customer service and be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment and industry. Proficient computer skills are essential with a knowledge of medical software including Best Practice desirable.

This will be a challenging and stimulating position but also very rewarding. Hours are to be confirmed upon discussing with successful applicants.

Daily tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Excellent customer service – you will be the first point of contact for our patients, in person and on the phone.
  • Maintaining confidentiality while managing patient records.
  • Processing payments, Medicare and third-party claims and reconciliations
  • Effective management of patient appointment types
  • General administration and daily office duties
  • Duties as required by Doctors and the Practice Manager

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse team and independently
  • High level attention to detail.
  • Previous Medical Reception experience would be an advantage however not essential
  • Enthusiasm, willingness, and ability to learn and retain information
