Westcare Family Medical Centre has been caring for the local community for more than 30 years, providing comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare for individuals and families in Melton West and surrounding communities.

Located on Barries Road, the practice is supported by experienced GPs, nurses and a friendly reception team, with a focus on building long-term relationships and providing care across all stages of life. The clinic welcomes patients for a broad range of general practice needs, with Saturday appointments available.

The GPs provide comprehensive medical care including general and preventative healthcare, paediatrics, women’s and men’s health, chronic disease management, mental health, immunisations, health assessments and minor procedures. The clinic also provides skin checks and skin cancer care, antenatal and obstetric shared care, sexual and reproductive health, travel medicine, weight management, iron infusions and workplace health.

The practice has particular strengths in women’s health, including menopause, cervical screening, pregnancy and sexual and reproductive health; children’s health and paediatrics; mental health and ADHD assessment and management; chronic disease and preventative healthcare; weight management; and skin cancer detection and treatment. The GP team also provides care for complex and ongoing health conditions, addiction medicine and aged care.

Experienced practice nurses support patients with immunisations, health assessments, wound care and other clinical services through the practice treatment room.
