Doctors at Landsborough – Receptionist

Doctors at Landsborough is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our family practice in Landsborough, Queensland, on a Full Time basis.

As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality customer service to our patients and supporting the smooth running of our medical practice. We are a local practice, with 5 GPs, supporting the Sunshine Coast Region.

An immediate start is available for the right candidate. To be successful in this role, we are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist who can confidently hit the ground running and build rapport with our team and patients.

What you’ll be doing

• Greeting and assisting patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Scheduling appointments and managing the practice’s appointment book
• Handling patient enquiries via phone, email, and in person
• Preparing and organising patient files and medical records
• Performing basic administrative tasks such as data entry and filing
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
• Providing support to the clinical team as required

What we’re looking for

• Experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry is required to excel in this role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a warm and empathetic manner
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
• Proficient in basic computer skills, and experience using or the ability to quickly learn medical practice management software
• A genuine interest in the healthcare sector and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care
• A positive, friendly, and professional attitude
