As a part-time Medical Receptionist at Rosny Doctors & After Hours, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to patients and our health care team. You will be the initial point of contact for the practice, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for our patients and work as part of an incredible team.

Conveniently located on Bligh Street on Hobart’s Eastern Shore, our clinic is your one-stop location for quality and friendly healthcare. We offer extended opening hours in the evening on Wednesdays through to Sundays, including public holidays. Please note: Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 26 hours, including every second Saturday.

What you’ll be doing

  • Greeting and welcoming patients, both in-person and over the phone
  • Scheduling appointments and managing the practice’s calendar in a timely and organised manner
  • Collecting and processing patient information, including registration and insurance details
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Assisting with medical billing and coding processes
  • Providing general administrative support to the clinical team as needed
  • Upholding strict confidentiality and privacy policies
  • Contributing to a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused work environment

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a similar customer-facing, administrative role (Medical Receptionist experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of patients and healthcare professionals
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficient in using medical practice management software and standard office technologies, or the ability to learn quickly
  • A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Flexibility to work part-time hours, including extended hours and weekends
