SmartClinics Toowong – Casual Medical Receptionist

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Casual Medical Receptionist to join our SmartClinics Toowong clinic. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and work effectively as part of the team. The ideal candidate will be available to work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week and on a flexible basis helping to cover hours as per the practice needs.

Daily tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Excellent customer service – you will be the first point of contact for our patients, in person and on the phone.
• Maintaining confidentiality while managing patient records.
• Processing payments, Medicare and third-party claims and reconciliations
• General administration and daily office duties
• Duties as required by Doctors and the Practice Manager

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritise
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Professional, friendly, confident, and courteous manner
• High level of computer literacy
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a diverse team and independently
• Availability and flexibility to cover shifts where needed
• GP experience and experience with Best Practice software will be preferred but is not mandatory
