Better Medical has today acquired the successful Family Health Medical Group, a group of four practices based in the North Eastern suburbs of Adelaide.
Dr Colin and Dr Sian Goodson were partners within the Family Health Medical Group which was originally founded in 2008 with its flagship clinic in Golden Grove. The group is now made up of 25 doctors and a large team of nurses, Allied Health practitioners and various specialists.
Family Health Medical Group Practice Manager Courtney Munro-Thompson said the acquisition made perfect sense in order to enhance existing foundations and learn from each other.
“Our values align seamlessly with Better Medical which overall made for a very easy transition.
“So far we’ve seen lots of added support at the management level and with human resources. We’ve also received lots of additional knowledge from Better Medical to help with the overall improvement of daily business operations – something we wouldn’t have looked at previously.”
Moving forward, Family Health Medical Group plans to continue working closely with Better Medical to ensure best practice, along with reviewing areas of need and nurturing staff in their current roles.
